Change will always happen, even when we don't want it to, but I can almost positively promise you, GULF's changes this year will end up being great experiences. Once again, after hours of preparation and scheduling, your GULF committee has put together a great year of dances, potlucks and picnics.

As most of you know, we have a new DJ this year, certainly something we did not have planned. Unfortunately, DJ Sheri has relocated out of Florida. A very sad change, this has now given way for all of us to meet and work with our new DJ, K-Lee. As far as I can see, and from what we are hearing from the community, this change will work out just fine. As always,if anyone has issues, please let a GULF committee member know of your concerns. Remember:- this is your dance and we want you to have fun.

We find that K-Lee is more than willing to work with us and we have lots of time to get to know each other since our next T-Dance is April 19th.
 
A recent issue for GULF has been Raffle donations to fulfill requests and provide gifts for our soldiers, especially during the next few dances. We are actively at war, and these are our young men & women who serve to protect us. Do not be surprised when we continue to collect for our soldiers over the next three dances. No greater honor can we demonstrate, than to meet some of their small requests. With the gracious help of HLO, contacts are already in place for the past Raffle donation. Additional gifts of CDs, paperback books, and personal care items are being donated. Thanks to the support of individuals in our many women's groups, requests are being met far and wide. HLO members will gather these items, and have assumed full responsibility for getting the packages mailed, from all of us at GULF -- job well done.
 
GULF's web site will begin to post one full year of activities at a time. This is being done so all of you can better plan your schedules and attend more of our events. We are doing our best not to conflict with other group activities. We work continually with like groups, HLO-PHWN, PRO SUZY, WOMYN'S WORDS, etc. GULF will continue to offer six T-Dances a season, some potlucks, hopefully an evening to dine out, and always our ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC.

It is truly our pleasure to serve our community, and the seven women who work on the GULF COMMITTEE totally enjoy creating and working with each of you. Our recommendation to all of you is to join as many groups as possible, these groups are full of wonderful, open,c aring and sharing women,w ell worth your time and effort.
